Arcadia continued…

Directed by Richard Cottrell for the Sydney Theatre Company, Arcadia is a play by Tom Stoppard concerning the relationship between past and present, order and disorder, certainty and uncertainty. Arcadia is set in Sidley Park, an English country house in Derbyshire, and takes place in 1809/12 and the present day. The activities of two modern scholars and the house's current residents are juxtaposed with those of the people who lived in the earlier period.

Working with Michael Scott-Mitchell (set designer) our aim was to create a world as real and authentic to the times and places as possible.
